Sajjan Kumar’s Involvement In “November 1984 Sikh Genocide”

Sajjan Kumar - former chairman of Delhi Rural Development Board and senior member of Indian National Congress party.
Currently: Member Parliament (Lok Sabha) from ‘Outer Delhi’ constituency, Delhi.

  • In 1984, Sajjan Kumar was Member Parliament (Lok Sabha) Constitutency, Outer Delhi (Mangolpuri), Delhi.
  • During  “November 1984 Sikh Genocide”, Sajjan Kumar led murderous mob killing and
    looting Sikhs in Delhi. He paid Rs. 100 and a bottle of liquor to each person involved in the killing.
  • In March 1987, Jain Banerjee Committee first recommended registering the case against Sajjan Kumar for his involvement in leading mob that killed Sikhs during “November 1984 Sikh Genocide”.
  • In September 1990, Potta Rosha Committee recommended registering the case against Sajjan
    Kumar for his involvement in leading mob that killed Sikhs during “November 1984 Sikh Genocide”.
  • In August 1993, Jain Aggarwal Committee recommended registering the case against Sajjan Kumar for his involvement in leading mob that killed Sikhs during “November 1984 Sikh Genocide”.
  • In January 1994, Narula Committee recommended registering the case against Sajjan Kumar for his involvement in leading mob that killed Sikhs during “November 1984 Sikh Genocide”
  • In 2005, he was indicted in the official report of the Nanavati Commission for leading mob to avenge the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
  • Two witnesses, Salawati Kaur and Fota Singh, deposed that Sajjan Kumar addressed a meeting in front of Block A-4 Gurdwara in Sultanpuri and gave instructions to kill Sikhs.
  • In 2009, Sajjan Kumar forced to withdraw from 2009 Lok Sabha polls, despite of getting Congress election ticket earlier.
